keith shaw is a photographer and art educator based on the unceded and traditional lands and waters of the Skwxwù7mesh ùxwumixw and shìshàlh nation, also known as canada’s sunshine coast.

Keith Shaw’s photography captures the joie de vivre of domestic experiences and environments. Documenting his life both as a parent and secondary school teacher, he pursues photographs that are inspired from elusive moments of daily life: finding images that evolve from a constant state of flux, dissolving as quickly and spontaneously as they come together.

Exhibitions include group and solo shows, including Fandom at White Columns, New York City; Presentation House Gallery (now Polygon) fundraising auction – SEPTEMBER ISSUE No./2; and Faces of Canada at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Ottawa.

Keith regularly teaches drawing, painting, and ceramics to teenagers.

His work has appeared in the New York Times.
