1995/1996 - My visual projections and atmospheric design was entirely analogue - slide projections, 8mm and 16mm film loops. Most of the flyers pictured here were created by Justin Johns (aka DJ Justin Wunder of The Wunder Twins and Shazzam). At this time in Vancouver and Victoria, Canada, the Rave scene was entirely non-commercial. The one-off warehouse parties were fluid with the local dance scene, with many of us having regular club nights. For me it was Thursdays at the Red Lounge on Richards near Robson, and later at the Hungry Eye in Gastown, lead by Luke Mckinnon.
